May 2021 Newsletter April 2021 Newsletter Gyro Member Letter Oct. 20201.pdf April 20th 2020 Good Afternoon Gyros, Gyrettes and Ladies of Gyro. For those of you that don’t know me, I am Ted Shewchuk, the President of Gyro International bringing you greetings through this time of uncertainty with the rapid spread of COVID-19. I hope everyone within our friendship club including families are doing well, keeping a safe social distance away from other people, and washing our hands regularly. Reach out not only to your Gyro fraternity but to friends in need through this trying time. There are many ways of communicating with each other such as through phone calls, internet teleconferences, and Facebook. Your voice of reassurance and smiling faces to one another can make a difference in one’s day or week. I would also like to ask each of the District Governors to contact the Presidents of each club within their district. Ask each President to reinforce their leadership by phoning each and every one of their members to check in on them and communicate with each other in this time of need. The well being of our friendship club is very important to me as well as the rest of our members throughout North America. Keep in touch with each other until your next club meeting, District convention, and International Convention. If any of you or your family members are providing essential services during this stressful time, thank you for all that you do. Too often we neglect to thank people for their services. Although our June convention unfortunately had to be cancelled, we’re looking into options for the late fall. We promise to keep you updated as more information becomes available I am looking forward to meeting our friends at the next convention whenever that may be. Take care and stay safe, Yours in Gyro Ted Shewchuk |
