Our Speaker will be Chris Foord
Chris has a Master’s Degree in Transportation Planning from Queen’s University (1974), worked with Engineering consultants in Ottawa and Victoria in the 1970s, 4 years as a planner with the Islands Trust, 16 years as the Marketing and Communications manager with BC Transit for the province outside of Greater Vancouver, started the U-Pass programs at UVic and Camosun in 1999, was a volunteer on the CRD Traffic Safety Commission for 24 years, Bike to Work Board of Directors for about 15 years. Well entrenched in retirement now, spending 3 winter months/year in Roatan, Honduras, snorkelling and enjoying being warm.
Chris’s talk will feature the Malahat, road safety, speed cameras, a bit of transit, some relevant politics and hopefully get lots of questions.
