Our Speaker for the evening will be Brian Wilkes, MES, R.P.Bio. ~ Topic: Vancouver Island Watershed Issues.
Brian is a Victoria, BC based professional biologist and environmental consultant, now mostly retired. He has worked on numerous water and watershed related projects in Canada and in several international settings such as the Philippines, Venezuela and Russia.
Brian has a special interest in policy and governance arrangements to improve water and watershed management as well as issues related to sustainability.
In addition Brian is a volunteer on various boards and committees, Director of BC .and Nature Victoria, in addition to being a member of the parks and natural areas committee for the District of Saanich.
