Our speaker will be John Azar and the topic "A brief history of the General Sir Arthur Currie Armoury(Bay St Armoury) and its importance to the community."

Bio: John Azar is a retired business and organization consultant with extensive experience in business, government and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Canada and abroad. Originally from Ottawa, he has lived in England and Egypt and traveled extensively throughout the world on business and pleasure. He has lived in Victoria since 1990. John has been an active volunteer in sport (rugby), arts and other community organizations. He is a keen amateur historian with a focus on military and local history. He is a member of several local history and military affairs related organizations. His commemoration activities included outreach for the society that created the BC Afghanistan Memorial and producing Remembrance Illuminated at Christ Church Cathedral.
