Our speaker will be Dave Obee from the Times Colonist
Dave Obee is the editor and publisher of the Times Colonist, and has been a journalist for half a century. He has also been working on family history for many years, and has written several books on the topic. He has given more than 800 presentations on family history research in Canada, England, Australia and the United States. Dave has been a member of Ancestry Canada's advisory board for 20 years. In 2012 the University of Victoria awarded him an honorary doctorate in recognition of his work as a journalist, historian and genealogist.
You are encouraged to bring a guest as I'm sure a lot of interesting topics will be covered.
